What is Somatic Processing?

Somatic Processing is a body-centered therapeutic approach rooted in Neuroscience that helps address trauma, stress, and emotional distress. Techniques such as body awareness, noticing, grounding, movement, self touch, parts work, and mindfulness are practiced to help individuals process and release unresolved trauma and difficult emotions. This modality is beneficial for those dealing with burnout, PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and everyday stress. Unlike traditional talk therapy, Somatic Processing focuses on physical sensations and movement to promote long-term healing and resilience.

Who’s Grace?

Hi there! My name is Grace McQueeny (C-HEP, MCTAA). I’m so glad you’re here

After years of traditional talk therapy, I felt like something was missing. I noticed the familiar patterns of shame, anxiety, depression, and overwhelm creeping their way back into my life. When it started to affect my relationships, I decided to open myself up to other modalities.

I started working with the incomparable Healing Embodied and quickly realized that I needed to incorporate my body into healing work. To say my life changed would be an understatement.

What I found through my journey as a client and a Practitioner is peace, self trust, and resilience like I have never known. I would be thrilled and honored to help you discover these within yourself and your body.

I am boundlessly curious.

I have a profound love and respect for the natural world.

I am a shame dissolver.

I believe that worthiness is inherent and does not need to be earned.

I know that humans are made up of many parts, none of which are bad.

I am so excited to meet you.
